MOMs Program

Maternal Outreach and Mitigation Services, located in Naytahwaush, is focused on providing holistic services for pregnant women in a supportive environment to deal with the medical and emotional problems caused by addictions to drugs such as prescription opiates or heroin.

  • Mental health services
  • Parenting groups
  • Cultural groups, circles, beading, crafts
  • Medication-assisted treatment referrals
  • Prenatal care
  • Harm reduction services
  • Links to spiritual services
  • Parenting, early childhood education
  • Cooking and nutrition classes
  • Support services for infants and children

The MOMs program has a goal of tapering Suboxone down over a period of time so the mom can maintain sobriety without it. Most clients can taper off in 18 months. Overall, we are focused on building positive relationships in a safe and judgement free environment.
